talenttrends Team Trainings

See what your team is learning.

talenttrends Team Trainings gives managers, learning leads and HR business partners an overview of their team’s learning record — completed training, learning hours invested, skills acquired — over any period, with one-click drill-down to the individual completions. Live from the talenttrends Data Hub. No more adding up individual transcripts.

The problem

How much has the team learned? Today: add it up transcript by transcript.

Cornerstone knows exactly which training your team has completed, how many learning hours were invested and which skills were acquired in the process. But the information is scattered across individual user transcripts. A manager who needs last quarter’s learning record adds it up by hand — or builds a report and pivots it in Excel.

Open every transcript individually

To see how much the team has completed, you open every transcript and add it up. For a team of ten: ten transcripts, totted up by hand.

Acquired skills buried in individual records

The skills the team has built through its training sit in individual training records — nowhere visible as an overall picture.

End-of-quarter review means building reports

For the steering committee, the learning record is assembled manually every quarter — hours no one has.

No view that crosses training × skills × team

Cornerstone shows individual completions — but no dashboard that brings volume, learning topics and team together at a glance.

What you see with it

Six metrics. The learning topics. Every completion in detail.

An overview dashboard summarises the team’s learning record, a tag cloud shows the actual learning topics, and a details grid reveals every single completion. You choose the time window and team once — everything updates together.

Six KPI metrics

Three pairs of metrics, each as a total and as an average per person: completed training, learning hours invested, skills acquired. The scale of each metric adjusts automatically to the data — no fixed maximum that makes a strong team look small or inflates a small one.

Top skills tag cloud

The team’s most frequently acquired skills in the chosen period, sized proportionally to their frequency. At a glance: what the team has actually invested in.

Details grid

Every single training completion in the period, sortable — training, type, hours, skill acquired, status, period. Filterable by skill and via free-text search.

Period & export

Predefined periods (last month, last quarter, last year) or a freely chosen from – to range. The filtered detail view as one click to Excel — ready for the steering committee.

How it works

Connect, embed, evaluate

01

Connect

Team Trainings connects to your Cornerstone portal via the official Cornerstone data interfaces — either via direct API access or via the talenttrends integration from the Cornerstone Edge Marketplace. Transcript and skill data land in the talenttrends Data Hub, which the dashboard works on.

02

Embed

Embedded in your Cornerstone portal as a custom page. Single sign-on via Cornerstone itself — no second login. You determine who may see the dashboard via the visibility rules of the custom page — typically managers and HR business partners.

03

Evaluate

The dashboard opens with the team of the logged-in manager and the last month as its time window. Choose a period, narrow or widen the team, filter into a skill group, drill down to the individual completion detail. Every manager sees only their own team. Export the filtered view as Excel.

The technology

Four charts, one engine, milliseconds

Team Trainings runs in productive Cornerstone projects where we take responsibility ourselves. This is what’s behind it.

Live from the Data Hub

Team Trainings works against your replicated data foundation, not against Cornerstone live APIs. No API throttling, no rate limits, full performance even during Cornerstone maintenance windows.

Read-only and parameterised

Fixed, versioned queries that ship with the application — not generated at runtime, not synthesised by an AI, not changeable via the interface. Strictly read-only. Team Trainings cannot change data under any circumstances.

Limited to the team

Every query is limited to the direct and indirect reports of the logged-in manager. A manager sees their team — never the whole organisation. Enforced server-side, not via the interface.

Server-side aggregation

The KPI calculations are aggregated server-side — the overview dashboard stays fast even for large teams, without loading large data volumes into the browser.

Honest scaling

The metric scales adapt their maximum dynamically to the data. No fixed ceiling that makes a high-performing team look small or inflates a small one — the visualisation stays honest for any team size.

No third party, no data leak

The dashboard renders via a single authenticated channel — no third-party CDN fetches, no telemetry leaks, no transmission of data to third-party services.

Prerequisites

What you should coordinate with us

Team Trainings shows how much individual team members have learned — personal data, close to performance assessment. Precisely because learning volume is easily misunderstood, a clean rollout takes three points into account that we clarify together with you during onboarding.

Cornerstone setup

Team Trainings needs data access to your Cornerstone portal — either via activated Cornerstone data interfaces and a dedicated service account, or via the talenttrends integration from the Cornerstone Edge Marketplace. The latter is the faster route, because authentication and scope are pre-configured.

Team scope and audience

Every manager is restricted from the outset to their own team — direct and indirect reports, never the whole organisation. Via Cornerstone’s visibility rules, you additionally narrow down who may open the dashboard. Via the Data Hub configuration, you determine which columns appear — fields marked as PII are excluded.

Learning consumption is not a performance verdict

In Germany, introducing a system holding employee data close to performance assessment typically triggers co-determination rights for the works council. The contract also stipulates: training completions, learning hours and acquired skills must not serve as a basis for personnel decisions, no profiling. Learning consumption is a development indicator — different roles, projects and life stages legitimately produce different learning patterns. We provide the documentation for the works council consultation; you lead the conversation.

Deployment

Your data, your infrastructure

Team Trainings runs on the talenttrends platform and follows its three hosting paths — from our cloud to your own data centre.

SaaS with talessio

Fully operated by us. Fastest time-to-value. Hosting in Azure Germany West Central or with STACKIT — EU data residency, Schrems II-compliant.

In your cloud

Deployment in your own cloud subscription — Azure, AWS, GCP or OpenStack. Full control over network and data residency.

On-Premises

Runs in your own data centre. Maximum control. Your data never leaves your infrastructure.

Details under Security & Compliance. Details on hosting choice, responsibilities and migration between models can be found under Cloud & On-Premises.
