The BAYERNOIL refinery produces a wide range of refined products from crude oil for its partner companies, including liquefied gases, fuels, gasoline, jet fuel, diesel, heating oil, and bitumen. At our two sites in Neustadt and Vohburg, we process around 10.3 million tons of mineral oil each year, using state-of-the-art technology, with the highest levels of reliability and under the strictest safety standards. As the largest refinery in Bavaria, BAYERNOIL is an important economic driver and, with more than 850 employees, one of the most significant employers in the region.
The Initial Situation
The digitalization of our HR processes was a necessary step to future-proof the administration of employee appraisals, target agreements, and succession planning. Training management and training documentation also needed to be modernized. Although we had chosen Cornerstone OnDemand as a powerful software solution, we faced the challenge of tailoring this highly complex system to our organization and internal processes in a meaningful way.
